EcoideaM has initiated two further sponsored MSc projects at Edinburgh University on phosphate sustainability with a focus on the recovery of phosphorous from anaerobic digestate utilising biochar as a filtration medium. These two projects will look at the use of biochar as a filter medium and at the use of enhanced phosphate recovery microorganisms. These two projects form part of early studies into the development of a new technology for the creation of value from anaerobic digestate.
